
Trade Bodies in the Hemp Sector
Tenacious Labs works with trade bodies and advises governments on cannabis product and industrial hemp issues. Among its tenures and positions, Tenacious Labs was the founding chair of the Jersey Cannabis Services Advisory Board and the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Industrial Hemp and CBD Products. Its sister company Tenacious Carbon now provides the secretariat for the APPG for Hemp Carbon Capture and Rural Development.
All-Party Parliamentary Group for Hemp Carbon Capture and Rural Development

The APPG for Hemp Carbon Capture and Rural Development is a cross‐party group focused on supporting domestic hemp in achieving the UK’s climate, energy and economic goals - with a particular focus on Sustainable Aviation Fuel, marine biofuels, sustainable construction, carbon credits, farming jobs and rural development. The Group will encourage investment in carbon capture, break down regulatory barriers and support a thriving domestic hemp sector.
The APPG for Hemp Carbon Capture and Rural Development was first established on 1st April 2025. The APPG held its inaugural meeting, whereupon Bayo Alaba MP and Lord Benjy Mancroft were elected as co-Chairs. Tenacious Carbon was selected by the Officers of the APPG to act as its secretariat.
